Skin Analytics’ AI, one of the many AI ‘green shoots sprouting’ across the country’s public services.

🗣️ “AI can enable us to be more human, not less.”

In a speech to the Open AI Frontiers Conference, the UK’s Deputy Prime Minister called out Skin Analytics’ AI as a Medical Device DERM as one of the many AI ‘green shoots sprouting’ across the country’s public services.

More than 220,000 NHS patients have now been assessed on DERM pathways, with more than 15,500 cancers found.

While the number of referrals via the urgent suspected skin cancer pathways have risen almost 10% year on year, growth of the dermatology workforce has been significantly slower.

Releasing dermatologist capacity to focus on treating patients, rather than in ruling out benign lesions, is essential to building scalable dermatology pathways that ensure patients have timely access to the right care for them.
