Spirometry clinics are available in Together First CIC to patients to help diagnose and monitor certain lung conditions by measuring how much air you can exhale in one breath. The clinics are designed to help General Practices in Barking & Dagenham refer patients who are at risk of developing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma.

Services
Toghether First CIC patients can book into Simple Wound Care Services via the 10to8 website. Following a surgical procedure, simple wound care services are provided based on medical need; for example:
- Removing wound closure materials, such as sutures and clips, as needed following surgical procedures.
- Providing wound dressing based on medical requirements.
- Wound assessment to determine healing progress and treat infection appropriately.
- For more complicated wounds or wounds that do not heal, senior nurses can offer advice and referrals to other wound care services. Integration of simple wound care is essential to providing appropriate wound care in a timely manner and in a manner that is convenient for the patient.

30-39-Year-OldThose in Together First CIC who are 30-39 years old are eligible for a free NHS health check to reduce the risk of developing long-term conditions in the future.
This includes some simple questions:
- Diet advice
- Blood pressure
- Cholesterol advice
- Smoking information
- Family history
- Alcohol information
- Physical activity
- Weight
- Height
MMR Child
Immunisation
Services
These vaccinations help children under the age of 5, in protectsagainst 3 serious illnesses:
- Measles
- Mumps
- Rubella (German measles)
As these highly infectious conditions can easily spread between unvaccinated people, Barking & Dagenham is working to ensure children are vaccinated as these conditions can also cause serious problems, including meningitis, hearing loss, and pregnancy complications.
Bowel
Screening
Services
The Bowel Cancer Programme in Barking & Dagenham is helping to reduce the number of patient deaths caused by the disease. Bowel cancer is a general term for cancer that begins in the large bowel. In the UK, bowel cancer is one of the most common types of cancer.
The majority of those diagnosed with the disease are over the age of 60, therefore Barking & Dagenham would like to ensure that all patients have the best chance of preventing the disease from developing, by helping early detection.
If you live in Barking & Dagenham and are eligible for a bowel screening but has not completed your 2 year schedule, please contact the free bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 60 60 to arrange a test kit.
Enhanced
Access
Barking and Dagenham GP Federation provide enhanced appointments across the borough, over 2 sites that is open to patients outside of normal GP opening hours.
This service allows patients to see a clinician weekday evenings, and on weekends.
Our appointments are available in hub sites at the following sites:
