Barking and Dagenham-based Creative Wellness is helping tackle health inequalities through community-led wellbeing programmes focused on children, families, women, and underserved groups.
Founded in 2015, the organisation delivers workshops and health initiatives across London, working with schools, NHS services, local authorities, and community organisations. Its programmes focus on emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, nutrition, and preventative health support.
According to the organisation, it has supported more than 2,500 children and families, delivered over 350 workshops, and engaged more than 6,000 residents through its activities.
Creative Wellness says its approach combines creative engagement with practical health education to improve wellbeing and encourage long-term healthy habits, particularly within ethnically diverse communities in Barking and Dagenham and across East London.
More information about the organisation’s early years, family, and wellbeing initiatives can be found on its programmes page.
The organisation continues to grow its partnerships as demand increases for accessible, community-based health support services.
